Fani-Kayode Attacks Pastor Bakare, Calls Buhari ’80-Year-Old Leperous Dinosaur’

Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has attacked Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly for suggesting that only President Muhammadu Buhari is qualified to lead Nigeria.

Fani-Kayode was reacting to a statement credited to Bakare where the pastor allegedly suggested that no “single” person is qualified to lead the nation if President Buhari were to be voted out in 2019.

“If you sack Buhari, tell me the qualified Nigerian to take over from him? Please mention a single name,” Bakare is believed to have said during a Sunday sermon in his church.

Reacting however to the statement, Fani-Kayode asked in a tweet: “Is my friend and brother Pastor Tunde Bakare seriously suggesting that in a nation of almost 200 million only an 80 year old leperous dinosaur can lead?”

The former minister, who is a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is an avid critic of the President Buhari-led administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
